Solid fried chicken. Chicken was crispy, juicy and flavorful. The fries were okay, and little bland. Be warned though, the place can get busy and wait times for food can be longer than expected. But definitely worth a try in your in the mood for fried chicken.

This restaurant specializes in fried chicken. They have chicken sandwiches, fried chicken parts, wraps, and breakfast sandwiches. They also have fish and shrimp. There is a modest sized dining area here and the available parking is also kind of limited. Even hough my interaction with them was limited, the staff seemed helpful and friendly. I ordered the Atlanta, a crispy chicken smothered in honey butter, topped with cheese on a brioche bun. I also go a side of fries. It took them about 10 minutes to prepare my food. It was fresh, hot and very delicious. There was a ton of food and I could not eat it all. I highly recommend getting some of their lemonade if you like sweet lemonade. mmmmmm. The chicken was flavorful and well seasoned. This is an underrated spot in my book. If their friend chicken tastes half as good as it looks, it will taste amazing. I did really like my meal though. I highly recommend checking this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Ate here at someone's suggestion, we tried this place out. The wait was extraordinarily long. It is a very busy place. The food was very good. The chicken strips were well seasoned. The sauce for the strips was delicious. Those who had the chicken and waffles really liked the waffles too. The dining area is a typically fast food setting. Nothing fancy.

The chicken is flavorful & juicy. The cornbread is a winner for sure. The waffle is great, they should use real maple syrup. Not the cheap breakfast syrup that's sugar & corn syrup. The fries were fries, tasty but could be crisper. Yams were ok, a bit earthy to me. My friend liked there banana pudding & the mac & cheese although good could've used some bread crumbs to cut through the chessyness of it all. The sweat tea was definitely too sweet, good but its alot so definitely drink some water with it. Half & half was good for my friend. Overall I will come back and try more on the strength of the deliciousness of the food, friendliness of the staff, atmosphere is just fine & clean which was great to have at a busy location. You go in enjoy your meal and leave stuffed needing a nap.

It was so nice to find this hidden gem in Alexandria. I came for a meeting in the area at 9 AM and lucky for me that the person I was meeting was running late so I had 45 minutes to kill I saw this place was in the area and had positive reviews. At this time of the morning, it wasn't very busy so I was able to find a close parking space and did not have to wait in line to place my order the restaurant look like a typical fast food set up with a few tables inside. I decided to dine in since had some time, since everyone raved about the chicken and waffles, I had to try it. It was not a long wait until my food was ready. They have mambo sauce, hot sauce, and honey mustard to complement your chicken if like. The Charlene was seasoned well, crispy on the outside, and juicy in the center. The waffles were nice and fluffy with butter on top. They have pre packaged syrup packs to go with them. Everything was delicious and I can see they earned their outstanding reviews.

Uncle C's Chicken and Waffles in Alexandria is a must-visit spot for anyone craving classic comfort food with a soulful twist! The chicken is crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, pairing perfectly with fluffy, golden waffles that have just the right hint of sweetness. Their portions are generous, so you'll definitely leave full and happy! Service was friendly, when crowded it may take a bit longer to get your food. However, the quality and flavor made the wait worth it. Uncle C's has earned a spot in my go-to list when I'm in Alexandria. The ambiance is giving fast-casual.

Made the hike out here because I heard this is the new halal chicken spot. Was pleasantly surprised to see you can pay a little more to get whatever type of chicken pieces you want. We did the bucket and got all thighs, which in my opinion is superior meat. The chicken seasoning is very flavorful and reminds me a little of Church's Chicken. The meat was tender and fresh, nothing dry or reheated here. Alongside we got cornbread which was all around strange. They looked like mini muffins and were bite sized. They weren't terrible but the sides really brought down the meal. Also missing is a signature sauce. We are living in the age of specialty sauces and there was nothing special to dip your chicken in. If you're a halal eater this place is worth a try but at the end of the day I'd still pick Popeyes because their chicken + fries + sauce combo can't be beat.

I've been here a few times now and the food has been consistently good. I think even more than the chicken and waffles itself, the sides and desserts shine. I love the sweet potatoes, creamed spinach, and banana pudding. Everytime I come here it's pretty packed so it can take some time for your order to be ready. Some of the desserts will already be sold out too if you're there later in the day. I heard more recently that they're available on Doordash. Before that they weren't, and it was one of the reasons I don't eat from here as often as I would.

I almost wanna gatekeep this one. Just go. I haven't tried anything I didn't like. From the waffles, to the chicken, fish, shrimp, rice, banana pudding, it doesn't matter as you can't go wrong. The place is very casual. It looks like a converted McDonald's or something. They have regular tables and high tables that they keep fairly clean. Although they have a parking lot, you may be hard pressed to find an available spot during busy hours, especially brunch. They're quite efficient, but you may be in for a long wait at times. Since they have online ordering, I sometimes place an online order for takeout on my way home to Richmond.
